Compact Low-Profile Solution for Height-Restricted Installations
Our Horizontal Cross-Flow Scrubber Towers are designed specifically for indoor facilities, basement mechanical rooms, and rooftop installations where vertical headroom is limited. By routing exhaust gas horizontally through successive vertical spray and packing stages, these scrubbers deliver high gas absorption efficiency within a low-profile footprint.
Key Features & Advantages
- Low Headroom Architecture: Perfectly suited for indoor plants, containerized treatment systems, or low-overhead mechanical rooms.
- Multi-Stage Scrubbing Capability: Easily configured with 2, 3, or more independent liquid spray stages in series for complex multi-gas streams.
- Lower Static Pressure Drop: Horizontal airflow geometry generally yields lower system resistance, helping reduce fan power requirements.
- Easier Floor-Level Maintenance: No scaffolding or cranes needed for routine maintenance; access hatches and nozzles are accessible directly from the floor.
- Versatile Material Construction: Available in FRP, PP, PVC, and Stainless Steel depending on chemical corrosion and temperature demands.
Working Principle
- Horizontal Gas Entry: Corrosive gas enters horizontally from the side inlet duct.
- Cross-Flow Contact: The gas passes horizontally through one or more packed beds while chemical liquid sprays downward perpendicularly (at a 90° angle) across the gas path.
- Multi-Stage Reaction: In multi-bed systems, different liquid chemistries (e.g., Acid stage followed by Alkaline stage) can treat mixed pollutant streams in a single horizontal unit.
- Final Demisting: The gas passes through a vertical mist eliminator panel at the outlet end before exiting cleanly.
